This print shows the USS Constitution as she would have appeared in her training days. Under the sail on a clear day she shown prominently displaying the American flag at her Stern. The ship last served as an African Squadron flagship from March 1853 to June 1855. After her final battle she continued service as a training ship for the US Navy and as a diplomatic vessel for several 19th century transatlantic voyages
